Ask early when finances affect study
If financial difficulty affects registration, fees or basic living costs, contact your counsellor or school student-affairs team as early as possible. The university’s 2026 aid hotlines are:

The 2026 orientation notice asks schools to help new students in financial difficulty complete registration through the “绿色通道” (green channel). Contact the admitting school or counsellor before arrival when necessary and follow the orientation system and school instructions for documents.
Financial-need assessment
The 2025 assessment rules cover Chinese nationals who are full-time undergraduates, including preparatory and second-bachelor students, or full-time graduate students admitted under the national plan.
Applicants complete the Financial Difficulty Survey in Yanghua and submit the assessment form and supporting documents to their counsellor. The school organises review and assessment. Follow the school’s notice for the opening period, document format and result for the current academic year.
An assessment is commonly a prerequisite for some grants, priority for work-study roles or an on-campus national student loan. It does not automatically award every form of support; check each programme’s eligibility, dates and documents.
Temporary hardship and disaster grants
The university’s 9 July 2026 disaster-grant notice says that students whose families face temporary financial difficulty because of flooding, severe weather, earthquakes or other emergencies may contact their counsellor and use this path in their personal Yanghua account:

Complete the form and upload the requested documents. The university reviews eligibility and the amount; the examples in the notice do not limit all possible emergencies.
Finding other aid programmes
The Student Aid site publishes notices for national scholarships and grants, national student loans, work-study, education support for military service, grassroots-employment tuition compensation and emergency grants:
- Undergraduate and graduate programmes may have different offices, rules and dates.
- Schools usually assess scholarships under the current year’s rules; do not reuse an old year’s quota, amount or eligibility criteria.
- On-campus national student loans follow an academic-year notice; recheck the limit, documents and deadline.
- University units publish work-study openings. Do not pay an individual a “deposit” or “training fee” for a position.
- Submit family and financial documents only to a university system or a channel designated by the school, not to an unknown group-chat account.
